It was the damnedest vice raid “Night Town” had ever seen…

“Grid” Griddle, ace reporter, heard the sing of a slug six inches from his skull… and then the procession began:

The first car missed him by a hair, as it screamed down Ferris Street.

Then came another car… rushing the vice chief’s provocative wife from the scene.

Then another… with just a flash of dark curls, enough to tab the driver as the gorgeous girl he’d seen in Patrolman Don Abel’s arms.

And still another… hell-bent from the hot spot, with Police Chief Caspar Pratt at the wheel.

It didn’t figure… until “Grid” found himself staring at the body of Dan Abel, dead as a doornail, his own gun in his hand!
